The Deception of Unity

Following every election candidates, both winning and losing, make statements about being united as Americans. They say that it is now time to unite as one for the common good.

In past elections, even when Republicans won, it appeared that they were more concerned about the appearance of “unity” than the principles on which they ran to get elected. There is a dangerous deception in the calls for unity. Most often those calls are from the media and Democrats. They are loudest when Republicans win. Continue reading

The Day After Election – My Predictions

Election day is finally here. Tomorrow your in-box should see a significant drop in e-mails frantically asking for money and revealing multiple wrongdoings by Hillary along with various and sundry conspiracy theories.

Veterans Group Questions Bishop’s Military Service

A Veterans group blog site recently filed a Freedom of Information request regarding Congressman Sanford Bishop’s claim to be an Army veteran. They posted the response on their blog and the Facebook page of the 2nd District Republican Party.

Congressman Bishop’s official biography reads, “He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971; completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, entered Advanced Reserve Officers Training, and received an Honorable Discharge in 1971.” Continue reading

Don’s Letter to Editor Columbus Ledger-Enquirer – You Deserve Better

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer published the following letter to the editor on February 10, 2016.

Dear Editor,

The Presidential race is kicking into high gear. Americans are itching for a change, not just in the White House.

In the distant horizon a wave is building that will eventually be a tsunami of revolt at the ballot box in November. That wave can be summed up in three words, “You Deserve Better.”

Here in the Second District, Sanford Bishop has been in Congress for two decades. His title is Representative. One must ask, “Whom does he really represent?”
