January 30, 2017 Congressman Sanford Bishop 2407 Rayburn HOB Washington, DC 20515 Dear Congressman Bishop, You have abandoned your stated pro-life position. Even worse, you are now supporting taxpayer funding of abortions. On January 24, 2017, you voted twice to support taxpayer funding of abortions by opposing making the Hyde amendment permanent. On May 13, 2015 you voted twice to oppose the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This act recognizes the truth that at 20 weeks an unborn child senses pain. It would outlaw abortions after 20 weeks except in certain cases. On September 18, 2015 you voted twice to oppose the defunding of Planned Parenthood. This was after the revelation of their cold blooded actions to market body parts of aborted children. The entire nation was shocked to hear the callous conversations over wine and dinner graphically describing how to wait until the right time and use the right procedure to maximize the harvest of organs from the dead child. Planned Parenthood talked about killing unborn children in the same manner as if they were on the Georgia Farm Monitor discussing how to increase the yield of cotton or peanuts. Planned Parenthood is an organization founded on a philosophy of racism. Taxpayers should not give a penny to support it. Frankly, I am amazed that you would even consider protecting this organization. There will be another bill coming up to defund Planned Parenthood. I ask you to vote to cut off all taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood. If you are unwilling to do that, then please be honest and stop saying that you are pro-life. The evidence proves otherwise. End your hypocrisy and tell the people of Southwest Georgia that you support abortion, that you support using federal tax dollars to kill unborn children, and that you support Planned Parenthood. Please let me know how you stand and plan to vote. Sincerely,
Donald E. Cole
