Shared Values that Supersede Outward Differences

I am expanding my blog to also be a VLOG (Video Log). I encourage you to watch the 2 minute video.

Crisp Ministry Network serving together. There is a lot of noise out there with the single goal of dividing us. Reject that noise.

With video I can talk to you like we are enjoying a cup of coffee, and the video is easy to share. Please like the video and subscribe to my channel to be sure that you get notification of new releases.

My expanded site will focus on three main categories:

(1) Proclamation – Bible Studies for those who want to dig a little deeper into the Bible.
(2) People – I enjoy sharing the stories of the people who are the real heroes of the day in a very ordinary way.
(3) Policy – public policy and politics. Our nation is built on the common people and I want to help make sense of and promote positive public policy that strengthens a community.

I will include the text of my messages as I did on this one. As always, my messages are to the point and I will not waste your time.

This commentary is about a meeting of the Crisp Ministry Network planning a community day camp for young people in K-5 through 5th grade.

In this group there are Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, and Non-Denominational.

In this meeting, the Chairman of the Crisp County Democrat Party was working alongside me, the Chairman of the Crisp County Republican Party.

We had a Democrat County Commissioner and Democrat and Republican candidates who ran for office in 2020.

Denominational and political differences are not the only differences in this group.

There are differences that are evident.

You see male and female, black, white, and Hispanic.

There is great diversity in this group, but we all hold deeply shared values that are not based on the color of skin or the accent with which one speaks.

The deepest held value that connects this group is our faith in the Person of Jesus Christ. We are brothers and sisters in the same family.

There is a lot of noise out there with the single goal of dividing us. Reject that noise.

If you want to make a difference in your community, then focus on what is really important right where you are and serve together.
